Pastoral Care
"We have been called to heal wounds, to unite what has fallen apart, and to bring home those who have lost their way."
~ Saint Francis of Assisi
Clergy and lay leaders called to ministries of care work together to support the needs of our Grace community and our surrounding neighborhood.
The clergy are available for your pastoral care and spiritual concerns. Please notify the clergy or Parish office of a hospitalization, pastoral emergency or death. Laying on of Hands and Healing Prayer, as well as the rite of Reconciliation of a Penitent, may also be scheduled with the clergy.

Compassionate Cooks
Parishioners cook simple meals to help those who are ill or grieving, as a sign of God’s love, and our community’s care for them.
Stephen Ministers
Stephen Ministers are lay leaders selected and trained a minimum of thirty hours and supervised by the clergy to provide effective Christian care for those seeking the support of a listening presence in their lives. Stephen Minister meetings are always confidential and can last as long and as often as the parishioner desires to meet.
Stephen Ministers can help with such life transitions as separations or divorces, households experiencing birth or adoption, those needing a Christian friend to hear their concerns, the hospitalized, the lonely or alone, those in spiritual crisis, those grieving death or serious loss, and the home-bound.
All Stephen Ministers are supervised either by a member of the clergy or a trained Stephen Ministry Leader. Stephen Ministers are named after the first deacon, Stephen, who was commissioned by the apostles to care for the needs of the people in Christian community.
