Grace Church School

Grace Church School is a community of children, teachers, and parents. Because nursery school is the first real step out of the home, we endeavor to provide a caring and respectful environment. Founded in 1928, the school today serves about 125 children, ages two to six, in an early education program noted for its emphasis on the whole child. We encourage every child to grow at his or her own pace in a multi-sensory learning environment. The development of character and of ethical and social values is an integral part of the school's mission. Our curriculum is nonsectarian, and we recognize and celebrate the diversity of faiths and beliefs of our families.

We offer tours on weekday mornings from October through December in anticipation of the following year's enrollment. Interested parents may call us once the school year begins at 718-624-4030 for an appointment. Applications are available following a tour. In January, children are scheduled to visit the school in small play groups, and then in March, we send notification of enrollment. Priority admission is given to siblings and to children of the Grace Church parish. Children applying for the Two's program must be two years old by July 31.
