To Grace Church by Car

From the North:

From the Whitestone Bridge or the Throgs Neck Bridge, take the Grand Central Parkway westbound to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE) southbound (also known as Route 278 westbound).  From either the Triboro Bridge, or the Long Island Expressway, to Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE) heading south towards Brooklyn/Staten Island.  Continue south on BQE for several miles (but stay int eh center or right lanes as you approach the Williamsburg Bridge or else you'll find yourself on the bridge to Manhattan).  After you pass the Cadman Plaza exit stay right to take the Brooklyn Bridge exit.

At the bottom of the Brooklyn Bridge exit there is a little fork in the exit ramp, bear left there and continue across traffic, bearing slightly left.  Go about a block or two and turn right on Henry Street.  Follow Henry Street for ca. a half-dozen blocks, turning right on Joralemon Street.  Go two blocks on Joralemon Street to Hicks Street.  Turn right and go to Grace Court.  The entrance to the church is on Grace Court.

From the South:

Get on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE) headed east (if you are coming from the Verrazano Narrows Bridge or from the Belt Parkway), and go to the Atlantic Avenue exit.  Proceed on Atlantic Avenue one block headed away from the East River.  You'll come to a traffic light (with the Long Island College Hospital on your right) at Hicks Street.  Turn left onto Hicks Street.  Grace Church is two blocks down on your left.

From Manhattan:

Either come down the west of Manhattan via the Joe DiMaggio Highway (The West Side Highway) going all the way down the west side to the short tunnel that takes you around the base of Manhattan to the east side and the Brooklyn Bridge (avoiding the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel) or come down the east side of Manhattan via the FDR Drive to the Brooklyn Bridge.  Either way, get on the Brooklyn Bridge heading to Brooklyn.  Immediately at the end of the bridge take the first exit right, but head straight (not continuing to curve around right to the Brooklyn Queens Expressway).

After exiting head across one traffic light, turning left at the second light, Henry Street.  Proceed down Henry Street about 1/3 mile until you come to Joralemon Street.  Turn right on Joralemon Street and go two blocks to Hicks Street.  (That intersection, Hicks and Joralemon, is a half-block from Grace Church).

Parking

Street parking is difficult.  If you want to park indoors do not turn right at Joralemon and Hicks; continue one more block on Joralemon past Hicks Street, turning left on Willow Place.  At the end of Willow Place there is a small parking garage.
